STREET AND SLUM CHILDREN

SPARSH - "TOUCHING LIVES. CHANGING DESTINIES"

There are 400,000 to 800,000 street children in India. There is no official statistics for the number of street children in India. Most of the street children live on railway platforms, bus stands and in the slums. 72% of the children are above the age of 6 and mostly over 8. Most of them are illegally involved in work in the informal sectors – restaurants, hotels, tea stalls. The children are very vulnerable to diseases and sickness and the main cause is improper sanitation. They face hunger on the streets and the lack of access to nutritious food leads most of them to malnutrition.

We are a NGO who are devoted in achieving our mission of “Touching Lives and Changing Destinies.” Our team has a common vision of reaching the unreached and the untouched in a practical way.  Read More
