HUMAN TRAFFICKING
SPARSH - "TOUCHING LIVES. CHANGING DESTINIES"There is an estimate of 12000 – 50000 women and children trafficked to India every year. There are about 4000 prostitutes in the red light areas of Pune. We reach the trafficked women by going house to house, in the red light areas of Pune making them aware of the danger of HIV/AIDS and also not to indulge young girls into forced sex by telling them of the physical abuse the girl child faces. We are currently focusing on two women by giving them the opportunity to learn beauty parlour courses.
